$350.00. This is a $15.oo membership fee and a $335.00 connection fee. These fees are not refundable. If the meter is to be set more than 20 feet from the main water line there will be an additional charge depending on the distance and whether or not we will be able to do it. Additional costs are for the pipe required and trenching time, which currently is $100.00 for the first hour and $70.00 per hour after that. The minimum charge for trenching is $100.00.
What do I need to do to get a water meter?
First and foremost, you must get a Notice of Intent from the Mississippi Department of Health, Division of Onsite Wastewater Disposal. Call 855-220-0192 and tell them you need to get a water meter installed and what it will be for. Once they complete their process, bring us a copy of the Notice of Intent (required by law before we can set a meter), sign a Water Users Agreement and pay the fee.
I bought a house that already has a water meter. How do I get it changed to my name?
Come in and sign a Water Users Agreement and pay the $350.00 fee. The fee is the same for a new customer regardless of whether there is already a meter there or not.

Why didn't I get my water bill?
Bills are mailed the first working day of the month and are sent by the post office to Jackson to be sorted for their respective post offices. If you do not receive your bill by the 10th of the month it may be lost or your mail carrier hasn't delivered it.
Call our office to get the amount of your bill before you get charged a late fee on the 21st.
When is my bill due?
All bills are due by the 20th of the month. If not paid by the 20th, a $5.00 late charge will be added on the 21st, or the following Tuesday if the 20th is on a weekend, or Wednesday if the 20th is on a Monday holiday.
How can I pay my bill?
You can mail it to our address on the water bill (we are not responsible for mail delivery); pay by debit or credit card by calling the office (there is a 4% processing fee); call the toll-free number or click the link on the main page of this site (there will be a fee of $2.50); set up your payment on automatic bank draft at no charge. (All drafts are done on the 2nd Tuesday of each month)
